A Primary School for Soledal Nueva

Currently primary school children in Soledad Nueva meet in a neighbor's small home for classes when she is not home. When she is there they must meet outside in an open area.

The sun does shine a good deal of the time in Quezalguaque... but it can be very hot and there is a rainy season!

Since education is a top priority and this was the unanamous number one choice of everyone attending our joint planning meeting in February.

A beautiful flat location with views of local volcanos is available for the school. The community is ready to work under the supervision of a "maestro de obra". All that is missing is the funds for the building materials and the salary for the construction foreman. We are working to raise the $16,000 that will be needed.
