Quezalguaque, Nicaragua
was designated Brookline's Sister City in 1987. Twenty years later the relationship has grown and expanded. Today we are involved in many new and ongoing projects. Donations to Support for our activities come from individuals in the Brookline Community, the Brookline Rotary, All Saints Parish, the Friends of the Brookline Libraries, the Brookline Library Foundation and the Sister and Johnny Foundation.
Usually twice a year brigades from Brookline go to Quezalguaque to work on projects. They live with local families and participate in communitiy projects and activities.
